1/ Pentti Sarpaneva bronze bark ring. Finland, c. 1970.
2/ Gold nugget ring designed by Bjorn Weckstrom for Lapponia. Finland, 1970.
3/ Flame bronze necklace designed by Bjorn Weckstrom c. 1972. This stunning piece is titled “Mustang”.
Mushimegane Books is the pottery studio of Japan-based ceramist Misa Kumabuchi. Her bold yet simplistic designs are just lovely. The glazes on the pieces are subtle and harmonious – I especially love the contrast of the wooden stoppers with the lovely hues of her hand-thrown jugs above.

Three stunning new bracelets on Hopea this week! The beautiful lines apparent in all three are what I love most about vintage Nordic jewelry.
1/ Kaija Aarikka bracelet. Limited edition, numbered 25 of 360. Finland, 1974. The inner oval and the outer rounded square of the bracelet create incredible lines and a sense of weightlessness.
2/ Björn Weckström bracelet. This early design was titled “Ygol” by the artist. Truly wearable sculpture.
3/ Nanna Ditzel designed this lovely bangle for Georg Jensen c. 1965. The minimalist style that Ditzel was known for shines in this beautiful piece.
