the factory

In 1973, Ricardo Bofill converted this disused cement factory into an amazing head office for Spain’s Taller de Arquitectura. After two years of remodelling, the dizzying maze of silos, subterranean galleries and huge machine rooms were transformed into one seriously incredible space. I love how so many of the original industrial elements have been cleverly incorporated into the design. Check out the rest of the rooms on Arch Daily.
